Notary

We didn’t have the concept of a notary in Michigan. I need to find a Notary today to notarize the articles of incorporation for Think New Orleans. Today will be quite a little trek.

Uhm, Michigan has notaries. You’re required to have many mortgage and title notes notarized. You have to have articles of incorporation notarized as well, I’m fairly sure.

All the corporate filing in Michigan can be done via FAX, and I’ve never purchased a home, so I’ve never crossed paths with a notary in Michigan.

I remember in Pennsylvania, there was some need for a notary when you bought a car.

I’m not quite sure of the function of a notary, either. To bear witness?
